What I like most is the myriad of opportunities that the faculty offers. Everyone will find their own bit of informatics which they will enjoy most. For example, in my Bachelor´s thesis I focused on the analysis of music using artificial neural networks, where we used artificial intelligence to teach a computer to determine the emotion of a song.
FIIT students have an excellent overview of IT technology and the knowledge which they acquire during their studies is a great basis for obtaining practical experience. Thanks to solid foundations built at FIIT they quickly become a valuable part of teams in projects implemented in our company.
For me personally, the faculty had the highest added value in two ways: 1. The requirements are high, which is vital also for candidates who want to find employment outside of Slovakia. 2. There is a strong focus on building analytical thinking in problem solving, which is certainly great preparation for the real world.
Thanks to the faculty I met amazing people who are still a part of my professional and private life. A variety of subjects, a countless number of assignments and an abundance of new information extended my view of the IT world. FIIT was a starting point for my next (both professional and private) life.
